The RITE Summit

The RITE Summit

The RITE Summit is the premier IT talent event for Northeast Ohio employers, educators, youth development, workforce service, and economic development stakeholders. Now in its 5th year, the RITE Summit was held on August 28 in conjunction with GCP Tech Week 2020.

Celebrating RITE’s 10th anniversary, this year’s Summit featured a virtual format, which covered hot topics and new tools that help shape the future of the region’s IT talent.

Opening Plenary Session
The plenary session kicked off the Summit by addressing critical issues such as the need to rally around specific community-wide and shared goals and the digital divide.  The session was hosted by Bill Blausy, senior vice president and chief information officer for Eaton, and Chairman of RITE’s Regional Leadership Board. As one of the founding members of the RITE board, Bill has been instrumental in RITE’s success. He is passionate about RITE’s outreach to high school students as an important part of building the ongoing and growing IT talent pipeline.

Special guests from Techtonic included Heather Terenzio, CEO and Founder, and Chris Magyar, Chief Apprenticeship Officer.
