RSVP: Rite Site Visits

Enlighten Your Students About
IT Careers and Employers

RITE’s Site Visit Program (RSVP) engages regional IT employers in creating opportunities for high school and collegiate students and educators to learn first-hand about Northeast Ohio businesses and the IT workforce needs of their company and industry. A RITE Site Visit is a field trip designed to better inform students about IT careers and local employment opportunities while they network with professionals.

Depending on the company, site visits generally include welcoming activities, presentations, tours, demonstrations, and a meal where students, faculty and company representatives can converse. This opportunity is available for up to 25 students and their adult sponsor/teachers. Visits are generally scheduled either from 9:30 a.m. (Morning Option) or 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (1/2 day including lunch.)

Participating schools, colleges, and universities will be able to select one visit per year. All participants are required to arrange their own transportation. One-time reimbursement for transportation, up to $200 per year per school, is available.

“We had an amazing time! Everything went very well and the students really learned some good material.”

— Ronald Suchy, Info Technology & Prog Teacher, Mayfield Excel TECC, Mayfield City schools

“The site visit was awesome. We were unable to see the lockbox, but the students enjoyed the presentations and learned a lot about technology and banking. Michael Slama and his colleagues were very hospitable. They sat with the students during lunch and had great conversations. Thank you for the opportunity to expose my students to this.”

— Chardon Rankin, Educator, Mathematics Teacher, East Tech High School
