The 6th Annual RITE Summit
How might we spur more innovation in IT education to address this dynamic environment and propel demand-driven transformation of the IT workforce?
The 6th Annual RITE Summit, Spurring Innovation in IT Education, zeroed in on this critical topic.
As part of GCP Tech Week, the RITE Summit is the premier IT Talent event in Northeast Ohio. Here regional employers, educators, youth development, workforce service, and economic development rally around a shared vision for a diverse, highly skilled, industry-responsive IT workforce that is an economic driver to growth, competitiveness, and prosperity.
Hosted by Kathy Golden, Chief Information Officer, OEC, and Chair of RITE’s Regional Leadership Board, this year’s Summit provided a robust and insightful dialogue with some of the best in the field. This included nominees and the winner of the 2020 Best of Tech IT Educators of the Year category – Sue Baker from Lakeland Community College, Kenneth Atchison from Baldwin Wallace University, and Mark Harms from Lorain County Community College.
In addition, RITE recognized our IT Educators of the Year – 2021 and the
2019-2021 RITE Teacher Rewards Winners and Honor Roll recipients. RITE also debuted Explore IT, a new resource created by GCP RITE in partnership with many organizations across Northeast Ohio.
