I have always been a huge fan of Halloween and all the fun activities that come along with it. One of my favorite Halloween traditions is trunk or treating, where families decorate their car trunks and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. This year, I have decided to go all out and create a space themed trunk or treat experience. Here is my buying guide for everything you will need to create an out of this world trunk or treat.
Setting the Scene
The first step in creating a space themed trunk or treat is setting the scene. This can be done by using dark blue or black fabric as a backdrop for your trunk. You can also use black trash bags to cover the sides of your car, making it look like a spaceship. To add some depth, I suggest using glow-in-the-dark stars and planets to stick onto the fabric.
Lighting and Effects
To really make your space themed trunk stand out, lighting and special effects are crucial. I recommend purchasing LED string lights in various colors such as blue, purple, and green to give off an otherworldly vibe. You can also use fog machines or dry ice for a mysterious mist effect.
Decorations
No space theme would be complete without some fun decorations. Some ideas include inflatable aliens, astronaut cutouts, and rocket ship models. You can also add some fun elements like a UFO crash landing in your trunk or a giant spider web with spiders crawling all over it.
